Man, good + crazy weekend

I'm writing this BEFORE the weekend ends because of a number of reasons:
a) I won't get to it tomorrow
b) I really want to remember what happened this weekend
and c) I just feel like it.

Friday, J and I walked around the mall. We are on the hunt for a nice looking fake Christmas tree. I adore rel trees, but I just don't trust my cat around one. Found a nice one at Sears and will be going back Friday to get it because just like everything else, it will be on SALE!

J's Sunglasses?J is the HARDEST person in the world to buy for, so when he mentioned he wanted new sunglasses, I was like SWEET! So we went to try some on at Sunglass Hut, but those people? WAY TOO PUSHY for me, and I worked retail before. After we left, we came upon another sunglasses shop, where the guy looked surprised to see us come in.
He turned out to be AWESOME at helping J figure out what style he wanted, and since his store had like NO customers, he told me he'd give me a great deal on a pair. So I kicked J out of the store and proceeded to buy him a pair. Here are the one's he picked, but he has no idea which one I finally chose!Obvs, not going to say on here which pair he's getting, but let's just say I think I picked a GREAT pair.

Saturday was the annual Nights of Lights ceremony in St Augustine. I adore this time of the year, because it's just the perfect kick-off to the holidays. Nights of Lights was even voted by National Geographic as one of the best holiday light displays in the USA. J and I even took our engagement pictures down there last year:

To change it up, one of my closest friends and her family joined us for the fun. Afterwards J, my brother and I hung at their place, playing the hilarious games Things. Needless to say, combine alcohol and a group of people that have some interesting senses of humor and you got one great night! My bro ended up crashing on my couch.

This morning, my cat woke me and J up because she obviously doesn't get the concept of weekends. When I went to put her in the guest room, I heard running water coming from downstairs. I go downstairs and step in a massive puddle. Seems that our toilet had a mind of it's own, ran the whole night and pretty much flooded almost all of the downstairs. When I told J what happened, he kind of looked at me like this:

So after lots of towels, J running to the store to buy a mop and moving all our furniture around, our floors finally dried. Still don't know why the toilet did that!

So now we are just crashed out on the couch, because obviously that's what ya do after a really long, and fun and crazy weekend. Thank goodness this is only a 2 day work week, or I'd be in panic mode!!!!

How was your weekend? Have you gotten your Christmas tree yet? Ever woke to a household emergency?

PS. THE JAGUARS WON! WOOT! WOOT!

Family filled weekends are the BEST!

I'm completely exhausted right now, (morning duty + no prep time=tired Nilda), but I really want to recap my weekend because it was a blast from beginning to end!

My dad's 72nd birthday was Saturday, so we all went out to celebrate. My aunt and uncle came to visit because they were in Orlando the past week at a techie conference. I adore all my aunts and uncles, but my this pair are definitely one of the most fun!

Got to love my dad's expressions!

They all came over to J's and my place. It was so awesome having family and friends over for the first time. Grateful for how thick our walls are; pretty sure if they weren't, our neighbor would have complained about all the noise!!

Later that night, all of us (minus my Dad, I think we wore him out!) hit up Ragtime, this amazing restaurant at the beach. They have the yummiest seafood and beer. The night included B-52 shots made the wrong way, my brother swiping food off everyone's plates, a kind of jerky waiter, and plenty of laughs!

Grouper Oscar- pan seared grouper topped with crab and asparagus, smothered in Bearnaise sauce. YUMM!

Realized it we'd been married three months! <3

Needless to say, J and I PASSED out when we got home later that night.

Sunday= football around these parts, but luckily my aunt and uncle LOVE football, so they dind't mind! We hit up Sneakers, this massive sports bar at the beach that show every game on GIANT projection screens. My aunt was PUMPED that the Steelers finally won. Later that afternoon, we went back to my parents to watch the Jaguars actually do decently against the Broncos! Eh we lost, but the losses aren't as painful when they actually show some fight!!

Despite being stuffed... we all went to Bruster's Ice Cream. It's fall season there which means APPLE DUMPLINGS and PUMPKIN FLAVORS. My aunt's obsessed (just like everyone else) with pumpkin so she chose Pumpkin Pecan. Everyone else got apple dumplings!

I'm not in it because I'm at the window, trying to convince the scooper to not get mad because we ordered 5 apple dumplings!

Weekends SERIOUSLY cannot get any better than spending them with family. Especially when your family is as loud, crazy and loving as mine!

How was your weekend???

Running out of weekends...

I have ONE more weekend until school starts. Well, until I am mandated to go to work. I went to my classroom today and was SMACKED in the face with a sauna.

Every year, after we've been gone awhile, the district controls the AC units in classrooms. My teammates rooms don't get as much sunlight, so their rooms are workable. Mine, on the other hand? Not so much! And come to find out, dear wonderful Mr. J (our custodian) can only override it for two hours.

So tomorrow I will be heading into work with a fan as well as other various cleaning supplies. Besides the heat, my room was left in a workable state, so I should have things done by Thursday.

Anyways! Enough about school, let's get going with the weekend!

On Saturday, J and I cleaned and hung pictures, and just finally made this place feel like home!

I'll be posting a house tour soon, because I have fallen in love with our little place.

Saturday as included the mounting of the TV. It was kind of an ordeal, just because who knew it would take so long to mount??

Sorry for the blurriness; only have my iPhone at the moment!

J sold his old TV to my uncle. Last week, we went and bought a 55" and I really thought he would be the one to complain that it was too small. Nope. I did. :) So we returned it and got the next size. Best part? Between a nice wedding gift and other money we had saved, not much came out of our pockets! Plus it's a SmartTv, which means it has things like Netflix and YouTube built in.

That night, it was back to football!!!

First Jags event as husband and wife! :)

J, my brother, his girlfriend and I went to the Jaguars scrimmage. It was fun but man I want the real deal to start! Preseason starts THIS Friday and the real deal starts in September.

Sunday, my friend Lauren came over and we went to lunch. She also gave us the cutest belated wedding gift.

Apparently this bakery is awesome in Savannah. J's parents live around there and I've never seen, but I will be looking for it, because the recipes sound DELISH. Plus who doesn't love cute cookware?

How was your weekend?

What happens at the bachelorette party stays at the party!

Whew. I'm finally feeling like me again. This weekend was a BLAST but man was I feeling it Sunday when I woke up.

I'm not going to divulge ALL of the details on here, because let's face it, we need some secrets from the bacehlorette party right?

Kaylee, Lauren, Me, Larissa, Jessica
My fellow party girls! They got me the cutest gifts and decorated the hotel room awesomely. Larissa, my future sister in law and the tall gorgeous one in the black dress, didn't let me know ANYTHING that was happening until it happened.

We started the night at BB's, one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Jacksonville. It was in walking distance. I drank a yummy peach bellini martini. The stick? Rock candy. YUM!

Back at the hotel we met our ride for the night:

Poppin' bottles!

The girls paid for a limo and it was so much fun! I've been in a limo once before, so this excited me. At first I thought we were just hitting the King Street pub area so imagine my surprise when we pulled into Metro.

The best bachelorette party planners EVER!

Metro is a gay bar in Jacksonville and seriously one of the most fun places. They host a drag show nightly. The hostess brought me and the other bachelorettes on stage.

The show was hilarious! And made me kinda jealous at how tight some of their bodies were!

Loving the lights!

After dancing on stage we made our way to The Loft, this bar/club in Riverside. I love Loft because their DJ plays the best music. Everyone around us kept asking me if I was getting married or birthday. In the beginning, I said married, but then it hit me: I should say BIRTHDAY too because I turn 28 on Wednesday! Got lots of double high fives after that. :)

One of the many groups of guys who bought me a drink!

Kaylee reminding us that what happens at the party STAYS at the party!

And that's the last thing I remember. There's a HYSTERICAL video of my proclaiming my love for J ("I love him SOOOOO much! He drives me crazy, but I LOVE HIM! He's phenomenal! He's the best! I'm so excited to marry him!") and pictures on my camera where I have no idea how I took them.

But isn't that how your last night out should go? I wanted a fun and crazy party and it's exactly what I got! I'm blessed that I have the best friends and a future sister-in-law who's seriously one the most fun people I've ever met!
Last night will probably NEVER be repeated, but it was completely worth it.

Have you ever been to or had a crazy night out?

(Cuz what's more fun and shenanigy than a bachelorette party!?)

Wonderful Weekend

Happy April Fool's Day! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend with their families! I have one more day of Spring Break, and then it's back to school tomorrow. I have the kindergarten team coming to observe my reading lesson, so I'm really trying to just enjoy my last day of break!

My weekend kicked off Friday. J took the day off to be with me and it started with a visit to Quest Diagnostics to get some blood work done. I've never had blood drawn, so no lie I was spazzing out! My nurse was sweet and proceeded to distract me by asking about my bubble necklace, so it went fine!

J and I spent the rest of the day visiting apartment homes. Our main goal is to find a townhome to rent, but we need back ups. There wasn't a single apartment complex that we fell in love with! Some had great amenities, others had great layouts but were RIDICULOUSLY expensive. One place even told us that they charge a monthly pet rent! We ended the day at Seasons of Japan aka Panda Express but Japanese food. It'll probably be my go to place on those days when I have ridiculously long meetings!

Saturday was a day of HAIR! My brother, J.P. got his hair done all trendy-like ala David Beckham:

Source

My hairstylist, Tyler trimmed my hair and then it was off to Martha for my bridal consult. I know it's going to be a total trek to get out to my salon the day of my wedding, but Martha is worth it! She's super sweet and nailed my vision for my hair! No pics, because J reads my blog! (Hi J!!)

J.P. and J went to the lingerie football game later that night (I know, I know.) so I stayed home. I had myself a marathon of DC Cupcakes which put me in a TOTAL baking mood. I ended up making Lemon Crinkle Cookies and Skinny Pecan Tarts.

They were DELCIOUS! I'm bringing the extras to my team today.

Sunday was spent eating more yummy food. My dad made an amazing ham. My mom got J, my brother and I the cutest Easter baskets:

I have a slight OBSESSION with Snickers Eggs. They just taste better than regular Snickers to me! The Milano cookies are AMAZING and if wasn't for the awesome workout I had that morning, I would have eaten the whole package.

I finally finished reading The Fault in Our Stars.  It was the book for both The Life of Bon's bookclub as well as Peanut Butter Finger's bookclub. I'll be posting my thoughts tomorrow!

How was your weekend???

How was your weekend?

I had a pretty fantastic weekend. AND! I actually took pictures! Yay for being a good blogger. :)

Friday:
Friday night, my friend Jennifer and I had a girls' night that began with yummy food and drinks at PF Changs. It ended with us going to Ulta and buying nail polish. I bought OPI's Gargangtuan Green Grape )say that three times fast). It's a fun mint green color!

Saturday:
I made it to the gym!

I love wearing bright colors to the gym. Makes it way more fun for me. I actually completed my  strength workout. Go me! To reward myself, I bought a fairly healthy post workout lunch from Tropical Smoothie:

Muscle Blaster strawberry banana protein smoothie with a ham and Swiss cheese flatbread. Kept me pretty full until dinner...

where I met up my friend Alison. Alison and I worked together at my old school and I miss talking to her a lot. No pictures because she doesn't know about my blogging antics. We ate at Chilis, which is ALWAYS a good time. I ate fairly healthy there too; had their Chicken Club tacos. Only ate two. The bummer was I left my box at the table. Boo!

Sunday:
J volunteered us to help out at his friends' drum corps practice. Drum Corps is basically a way more hardcore marching band.

Since we had to get there so early, J and I had breakfast at First Watch. It was our first time, and I can promise you, it will NOT be our last! Check out our breakfasts:

I had an omelet with ham and spinach over multigrain toast. It was smothered in hollandaise sauce. The home fries were some of the best I've ever had. Took every ounce of self control not to gobble the entire thing down!

J had the Gravy Train crepe. It was the perfect combination of sweet and salty. He also had a hard time not devouring the whole thing, it was that yummy!

Our job at the practice was to get ice, water and prepare the gatorade for all the members. I also helped serve lunch. J took a picture and texted it to me. When I asked him why he took a picture his answer? "Figured you'd want it for the blog!" Love how he somewhat gets this blogging thing.

After practice, we came back to his place. Opened all the windows because it was absolutely STUNNING outside. Yesterday epitomized why I love living in Florida: clear blues, skies, perfect temperature and a light breeze.

Overall, a pretty busy weekend. This week I get to go to my first dress fitting. Eeek! I can't wait. I hope you all had wonderful weekends with your loved ones too!

Sunday, March 3, 2013

Hello, March!

Seriously, it's MARCH you guys. I don't understand where the last two months went! I have spring break in three weeks! My wedding is in FIVE months. Eek!

This weekend seems longer than usual because I was out of work on Friday. I woke up in the middle of the night completely congested and ended up going to the doctor. Boo sinus infection. Apparently it wasn't TOO severe, because I woke up yesterday being able to slightly breathe.

J and I went ring shopping yesterday. We found him a really nice ring. Plus we also found him new shoes and new clothes. I love shopping for him, mostly because he doesn't like shopping for himself. While indulging in a Great American Cookie Pecan Supreme (um, I lived off those when I walked into Delia's) I heard a small voice say: "Ms. A??" I looked up and saw one of my old students with her mother and sister. She was a member of my absolute favorite class and she's as tall as me now! I think my favorite part was seeing how excited her mom was to see me too! Moments like that are the ones that tell I am making a difference. :)

I want to make a list of goals for the week. I did go to the gym twice last week, so I met my goal! Here are this week's:

  • Not repeat gossip. I find myself still in that horrible cycle of jealousy and annoyance. I need to stop.
  • Try my best at my curriculum writer interview. Part of me wants the opportunity; the other part just wants to go out and say I tried.
  • Go to dinner with a friend. Been awhile since I've had some girl time!
  • Order invitations. Not sure why I keep putting this one off! Worried I'll make a mistake or something. :)
Off I go to enjoy the rest of my weekend. What are your goals this week?

Wedding-ful weekend

I meant to post this earlier today, but this morning was super hectic. I try not to just do a recap, but when I realized that everything this weekend had to do with the wedding, I figured why not? This blog is about my life right? Well this wedding is currently a key part of it!

It kicked off Friday afternoon with our engagement session. J had a connection that was able to get us into Everbank Field!

I cannot tell you how COOL it was to have the whole stadium to ourselves! (well us, our fantastic photographer Rachel, and J's friend's wife Nikki!) I'm super excited to see how the pictures turn out. We even took some pictures while throwing the football in front of Touchdown. Touchdown is the jaguar statue in front of the stadium. I had no idea he had a name!

After that, we traveled down to St Augustine to complete the second half of our session. I adore St. Augustine. I went to college there and the town just has a special place in my heart. The town is currently decorated for Nights of Lights, their annual holiday light decorations. We took pictures in front of this awesome place:

Gorgeous right?? We even took some pictures at the entrance to Flagler. I seriously cannot wait to see how they turned out!!!

Saturday, we registered for gifts. At first J was being silly, but then he got into it. We went to Target and I think we picked out some great things. Only negative? The Target AC was set to freezing. I kid you not. I even debated buying a cardigan just to stay warm!

My mom and I ventured out the biggest wedding expo in Jacksonville, the Ultimate Bridal Fantasy, on Sunday. It was pretty intense, especially since we had all of the major vendors we needed. I did get to eat a lot of tasty food and even won my dad a free tux, so it was worth it. Plus spending time with my mom is never a bad thing.

I hope everyone else's weekends went swell! Welcome to any new readers. I hit 200 followers today!! How cool is that???

You win some you lose some...

I'm staring at my computer screen feeling like I should write about my weekend. I mean, overall it was pretty fantastic. Even if it included spending 8 hours at a marriage prep class and watching the Jaguars lose again. But my sinuses are killing me. Boo sinus headaches!

One of the bajillion requirements (and yes I mean bajillion) that the Catholic Church has to get married is to take a marriage prep course. You have two choices: Pre-Cana, a one day 8 hour course, or Engaged Encounter, a weekend retreat. Originally, I wanted to do the retreat but I changed my mind. Thank goodness I did!

While I learned a lot at Pre Cana (the topics ranged from marriage as a sacrament to communication) and I definitely felt closer to J because of it, it was SO LONG. We arrived at 8:30 and didn't leave until 5:30. I don't do well when I have to sit and just listen. I like to do something. I almost wish they had made us interact with the other couples. But it was mostly just lecture after lecture. Including one on mystical magical mucus. (Seriously, the natural family planning presenter kept repeating that phrase, and I just wanted to laugh so hard every time!)

Other hilarious side note: pretty sure the presenters didn't want to screw up my name, so rather than calling on me, they  just kept calling on J. Which he didn't mind, until the NFP presenter asked him what he thought sexual contact was. Can we say awkward?

After we finished, J and I headed out to my co-worker Katie's house. I was a little worried about J getting along with my new co-workers, but it ended up being a great night! We stayed until midnight, talking, playing beer pong and just having fun. J liked my co-workers a lot, and I enjoyed getting to know them outside of work!

I'd talk about today, but that would be a waste. The Jaguars lost yet again. I screamed and cheered them along and I will continue to do it for the rest of the season, but man can we just get to next season? It's getting to be brutal watching my boys lose game after game!

So like the title of my post, this weekend was DEFINITELY a win some you lose some kind of weekend.

Off I go to eat dinner and watch some HIMYM. Cross your fingers that this week SPEEDS by, because I only have five work days until Christmas Break! WOO HOO!

Rain, rain, go away

Normally, if I wake up and hear the pitter patter of raindrops on a Saturday, I get pumped! Why? Because it's a great excuse for being completely lazy on a weekend.

But today, I woke up and heard the rain and GROANED. I need to be motivated, not lazy. My room looks like a tornado blew through it. My laundry is piling up. I have a project that I want to have completed by Monday and J and I want to go Christmas shopping at the good mall (the one that is COMPLETELY outdoors). Oh and I need to go to the dry cleaners before they give away my comforter. Because apparently, I completely forgot that I had it dry cleaned two months ago. Oops.

But right now, all I'm doing is catching up on blogs and pinning more wedding things on Pinterest. Which is way more fun than anything up on my to-do list (except for Christmas shopping, nothing is EVER better than Christmas shopping).

Speaking of wedding plans, have I mentioned J and I have all the big things checked off? We have:

  • our location
  • a photographer (Fox Fotography, go check them out!)
  • a DJ
  • a florist (the florist's proposal ideas matched exactly all the things I pinned on Pinterest. Pam read my mind!)
  • my dress
  • and honeymoon!
July seems so far away, but I know that it's not. I mean today is December 1st!  Christmas break begins in 14 days! Where the heck did 2012 go??

Off to attempt to be motivated. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Tomorrow's my Friday!

Ha. I love how I am about to write about my weekend, when my next weekend officially starts tomorrow at 3:10. Woot, woot. Bring on Thanksgiving!

I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was pretty darn great. Kicked off the holdiay season by attending one of my favorite holiday traditions: Nights of Lights.

St. Augustine hangs a ton of lights all over its public grounds, and most of the businesses (includng my alma mater, Flagler College) do the same. They have this huge lighting ceremony, with a big band playing holiday tunes. We all count down and flash! The lights turn on! (The build up is a little lame, but the lights are beautiful!)

These are some of the trees in the plaza with their lights. J and I are going to go back to take our engagement photos there. I can't wait!

Afterwards, Flagler hosts an alumni reception. They serve holiday treats and I get to catch up with my old professors and college peeps. This year, everyone gushed over my ring. :)

Sunday was FOOTBALL! My Jaguars PLAYED their HEARTS OUT!  I mean check out this picture of my favorite player, Paul Posluzsny:

Source
Yep. That's blood streaming down his face. He got hit hard, but still kept playing. Didn't come out until the drive was over. That's HEART I tell ya! (Sidenote: He's pretty cute, so I hope that injury doesn't leave a scar or anything.)

I think if we would have beaten the Texans, I would have cried. Straight up CRIED! Hopefully we get our second win this weekend. (Especially since I just made the last payment on my season tickets.) I need them to at least win two more games, so I don't feel like I completely blew a ton of money. )

One day down, one more to go. I'll be MIA this week. Heading up to Savannah to have Thanksgiving with J's family. Completely mind blowing, that next Thanksgiving I'll be MARRIED. :)

I'm thankful for many things this year, but one of those things is definitely this blog community that I became a part of. :) I hope everyone has a happy holiday!

Sundays are great...

when you have Monday off! There are many things about my job that make me happy, but the whole federal holiday off thing is definitely one of my favorites!

I've been slacking in the blog world. I miss all my blog friends! How are all of you??? After I finish lesson plans, I'm going to spend some time at my favorite Starbucks with my computer and catch up on everyone's posts. Girl scout honor!

So far this has been a great weekend:

  • discovered Hart of Dixie on Netflix. It reminds me of Gilmore Girls. It's a little kooky, a little unbelievable but a definite escape.
  • found my wedding dress! It's a style I never would of thought to try, but the minute I put it on it was perfect! Everyone ooh and aahed and I teared up. :)
  • My college roommate came up to help me with my wedding dress search. I got to finally meet her second baby girl Aubrey. Aubrey is such a happy baby! I wish I lived closer to them.
  • J and I just relaxed today. Watched a couple football games (amazing how not into football I am when it's teams I could care less about!) and J surprised me. He bought all the ingredients to make his famous nachos. MMMMMMMM!
  • My Donors Choose project got posted. I've already raised over 100 dollars to the purchase of listening center materials. If you want to help out, I'd love you forever. Head over to www.donorschoose.org/nalbino.
Off to watch Revenge. Is it dorky that I am excited to watch it because I can sleep in tomorrow??? Such an old lady.

Monday, November 5, 2012

Oof..

Boy was today a Monday. I normally don't complain about Mondays (yes, I'm a weirdo). But it was definitely a Monday. My kiddos were acting so silly and goofy and not following any of my directions. Thank goodness for left over candy. Oh and the fact that I only have them until 11:30 tomorrow.

My weekend was eh. J and I tried a new Mexican restaurant. At the time, I thought...ooo this is pretty good.  Saturday morning around 2 am... NEVER AGAIN! I had the worst stomachache ever all day Saturday. Completely bummed I missed my friend's surprise birthday dinner at the hamburger joint that doubles as a drag show venue! I did grab coffee with my friend Lauren, so that was a plus.

And..... I booked my wedding reception venue! We have a date. July 12, 2013. I'll be getting married at my childhood church and then partying it up at this gorgeous place:

Goregous right? One Ocean is the prettiest hotel on the beach and we are getting an incredible deal to have the reception.

J and I also booked our photographer and I'm going dress shopping this Saturday. It's still mind blowing to think that I'll be married this time next year, but I really can't wait!

Hope you all had fun weekends!

FINALLY!

Finally.

Thought I was going to have to burn all my Jaguars shirts. Sell my season tickets. Deny ever being a Jaguar fan. But then...

After two horrible games, my Jaguars did it. WE WON A GAME! No, I am not going to focus on the fact that we were thisclose to losing it. I'm going to focus on the fact that Gabbert and Shorts teamed up at a clutch moment and that my boy Posluszny had an interception:

Source

I know most of you out there could care less about football, but I've grown up with the Jaguars. I remember the glory season of 1999 like it was yesterday. I just want them to win. Especially against the Colts. :) (Especially since I spent a decent chunk of change on season tickets this year. Ahem)

On top of that awesome win, I finished my plans and printed off my materials for the week. Which means I can spend the rest of my Sunday night relaxing.

What will I do? Read a book or watch the Emmys? Paint my nails? Or maybe go to bed early so that I don't feel like a zombie when I wake up? Decisions, decisions.  I'll keep y'all posted.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

PS. I'm debating changing the name of my blog to Entirely My Own. It came to me yesterday when I was brainstorming new names. I'll keep y'all posted on that too!

Eat up, eat up

Yummy food. That was the theme of my weekend. If you know me, you know I love food.

Saturday:
Even though back to school week left me exhausted, I still woke up early. I went and helped freshmen move into the dorms at my alma mater, Flagler College.

The main building, is the former Ponce De Leon hotel. One of the girls' dorms (the main one when I went there) is housed in this building. Each room is completely different, because each room used to be a hotel room. Some of the dorm rooms even have fireplaces!

Total blast to the past for me! I helped many girls move in. The parents were all really grateful. I checked out all three of my old rooms. Memories hit me left and right, even though the rooms were different.

The yummy food aspect was not the food I ate for lunch in the Dining Hall, but just simply eating in my old dining hall:

You can pick your jaws up now. This beautiful place is where I ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner for three years! Crazy right? When the alumni office director invited me for lunch, I immediately said yes!

Ah, memories. :)

Later that evening, J and I celebrated two years at the Melting Pot. I'm a bad blogger, I took no pictures. Wanted to enjoy the evening with J.

The food = AMAZING! So stuffed by the end of the night. Our favorite was definitely the bananas foster fondue. I read J the dessert options and the second I said "White chocolate!" he was in!

Sunday
Yesterday was my brother's 23rd birthday. Guys, when did my pipsqueak little brother turn 23?? The one who used to copy my every move? The one who you use to eat all my food? Scratch that.... the one who STILL eats my meal? He bought his very first car today... CRAAAZY!

J.P. loves Japanese food. So off to Wasabi we went! I love smothering my whole plate in shrimp sauce. It's just wonderful. Plus, it was my lunch today!!

That was my weekend. Hope you had great ones! If you are in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, or Louisiana, stay safe and dry! It poured buckets here in Jacksonville.
